Southern Right whale

The mothers come to give birth in this very special place. It’s a very closed shallow bay. Its crystal clear waters are well protected from the south atlantic but the only problem is there is nothing for the mothers to eat. So the mothers fast for the entire time they are there. Breast feeding the baby whales. They loose an astounding amount of weight. Truely incredible
